John worked within a general solicitors practice between 1977 and 1982 when he founded North West Law. He qualified as a Fellow of the Association of Law Costs Draftsmen in 1993, was appointed to the Council of the Association in 1999 and became National Chairman in 2004. During his 25 years specialising in costs, John has been involved in a number of leading reported cases and has a wealth of experience in dealing with all aspects of costs, including national and international arbitrations. John has appeared in diverse matters from the County Court to the House of Lords. He is an acknowledged expert in the field of costs and frequently lectures on costs related issues.
